A New Beginning

A new Beginning - 1

Welcome!

I’m excited to share my first creation in this new chapter of my life with you!

Today the only restriction to my creativity is the size of my stash! Lucky for us, my stash runs deep 🙂

I came across this stamp set, Real Flowers by Hero Arts, on Pinterest and was immediately captivated. I popped over to the Hero Arts website at once and very quickly had it on the way to it’s new home!

I just love the way it stamped its beautiful daisy!

I was puzzled at first as to how to ink this stamp with two colors but some online friends quickly gave me some tips and it turns out that sponge daubers were the tool to use! I inked the flower up in Crushed Curry for the petals and More Mustard (retired) for the flower centers. I used Pear Pizzazz for the stems. The color choices were dictated by the colors of the patterned paper. And speaking of the pattern paper…isn’t it to die for??

I found these delightful papers in a 6×6 collection called Lost & Found (Breeze) by My Mind’s Eye.

I chose the sentiment from the Papertrey Script Sentiments stamp set because it just resonated with me…jumping into a new venture is always scary, but at the end of the day, if it didn’t matter it wouldn’t be scary, would it?

Shannon, I’m late to finding you, but am SO HAPPY that I did! This card is wonderful. I really like what you did with the dsp on the edge (I have not seen that before) and the colors of your daisies are gorgeous! I’ll be a frequent visitor as your clean and simple style (with flair) really inspires me!
