Blog Vacation

Hello my friends! Wow, it has been 41 days since my last post…amazing and a bit distressing.

Sometimes, life just gets overwhelming and when that happens to me, my creativity takes a vacation…resulting in a vacation from my blog!!

I had SO many ideas for projects and was really engrossed in the 30 day card challenge from my Stampin’ Up!’sΒ up-line’s up-line. All of which resulted in complete overload.

I realize it’s April, but I’ve decided that my “word” for 2016 is going to BALANCE. I’m going to work for it and remind myself every single day that it’s all about balance!

I wandered into my craft room and wasn’t exactly sure where to start as there are unfinished projects everywhere…

So I grabbed a pile of cards and began. I don’t know if you are guilty of this as well, but when I’m in a creative flow, I can’t be bothered to EVER stamp the back of my cards and many times I will leave the inside blank as well. Thus, as soon as the cards have been blogged…they go into a pile and sit. The pile gets higher and higher so I start another pile…sigh.

But, for today at least, I can say with pride that ALL of my cards are complete inside and out and coordinating envelopes as well!! Can I get a woot-woot?? lol

I have made some cards in the recent past, mostly for my card classes. Here are a few:

I think this is mine and not a CASE, but if it is and I need to give credit, please let me know!

Blog Vacation-Class Cards

This is one of my most used and favorite basic layouts ever. I used paper that’s been in my stash for eons and used various products. I used a sentiment set from Clearly Besotted and let my ladies pick which ever one suited their fancy πŸ™‚

I just whipped this one up for me. I got stuck because I realized that I used a masculine patterned paper and then added flowers…whoops! In the end I added pearls to make it more feminine. I’m sure someone will appreciate a very un-fru-fru birthday card!

I have more cards from that pile to share, but I’m gonna make you wait for it πŸ™‚ Β lol.

I’ll be back with you more! I hope you are still out there and can understand my need to walk away from all the pressure that I created in my mind πŸ™‚

Thank you so much for visiting me today!

Good to hear from you, Shannon! A great gallery of cards, and good for you that you completely finished them off. I get that feeling overwhelmed part. I think I may be ready for a crafty vacation myself!

So glad to see you back. I was getting worried!! Every day that I would check in to see what you had crafted & there wasn’t anything new, I worried that something bad had happened. So, am relieved to see that you are refreshed & back in the blogging world. Take care of yourself. Love your creations!
