Hello Friends! Welcome to Thursday and another fun challenge from the talented Pals Paper Arts design team! This week is a very pretty color challenge, just in time for Valentine’s Day!
Aren’t they pretty colors?? Perfect for Valentine’s but….I wanted to show that they don’t HAVE to be used for Valentine’s so I went in a different direction:
I absolutely ADORE Stampin’ Up’s new Butterfly Basics Bundle! The dies are divine, the stamp set is SO much fun to play with, and the font on the sentiment??? So awesome!
My new ‘thing’ has been to tilt layers behind one another, I think it’s so fun and a great fun new way to introduce color. My main color was Pink Pirouette with pops of Rose Red in the sentiment, background stamp, and background paper with just a few pops of Basic Grey.
I die cut my butterfly twice, once in vellum and once in Pink Pirouette card stock. I then stamped on both butterflies using the honeycomb stamp and Pink Pirouette ink. It adds a subtle amount of texture to the card.
And of course I didn’t want the inside to feel under dressed so I dressed it up just a bit with some simple stamping:
I forgot to take pictures of the front of the envelope, but I added a few butterflies to it as well π
I hope you will visit the Pals Paper Arts website to see some amazing projects from the other designers and that you are inspired to play along with us! I can’t wait to see your creations!!
