I saw this challenge over at the Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge and could not resist the temptation of designer’s choice!
What to do, what to do?! So many options! And then I saw one particular rubber stamp sitting out on my table…if it had hands, it would have been waving it’s hand in the air and shouting “Me, Me, Pick Me!!”. I purchased it some months ago at the Scrapbook Expo, knowing I was planning to start coloring, but have been putting off acquiring the markers to do so 🙂
What do you think?? I’m very, very happy with how it turned out, keeping in mind my limited coloring skills. I haven’t even finished the online Copics class!! lol
Now, about Copics…they are awesome. But expensive. And I am ‘that’ girl, the collector. I can’t just have a few of anything, I want them all!! So I found these markers online (Close to My Heart also carries them) and purchased both sets. I am very satisfied with the colors I now have and can add to them with Copics as time and budget allow!
This rubber stamp is designed by “Stamps by Judith” and is called Flower Grater. I fell in love with it and had to bring it home! This is my favorite type of bouquet!
After I was done, I came across the perfect paper to accent it with!! Isn’t it fabulous?? I have used it before and am now down to my last piece of it so I thought long and hard about using that last piece for an envelop liner!! In the end I compromised and made the envelope liner only half as long as it should be!!
I had SO much fun coloring this image! And while I was coloring the grater, my husband walked in and saw it and was so impressed!! Made my day 🙂
Thank you so much for stopping by and for all your comments yesterday! It feels so good to be creating again!
Wishing you joy and blessings!

What a wonderful card today, Shannon! I love the soft sweetness your card emits…..like something from my grandmother’s kitchen. Fond memories. Great job with the coloring. If you hadn’t said so I would have thought you were an “old hand” at it.
I don’t think you’re limited at all in your coloring! This is such a fresh summery card! I love it! Thanks for playing at stamp, Ink, Paper!

Gorgeous card, Shannon! I love the yellow/ gray color scheme, and the image has such a country vibe paired with that paper. I’ve signed up for that coloring class too but can’t seem to get started on it so thanks for the reminder. Thanks so much for sharing with us this week at Stamp, Ink, Paper!
