I Love You More – Paper Players #244

pp244Good Morning and Happy Mother’s Day to all of you! We’re back with another fun challenge for you today from The Paper Players, this time it is a delightful color challenge from LeAnne! I loved the color combination right away but did not have an immediate vision for a project. After a bit of fussing, here’s what I came up with:

SKP Watermarked Photos3-087I purchased this stamp set, Sunburst by Clearly Besotted Stamps, the minute it became available because I knew I HAD to have it…and it’s taken me two months to get it inky! But that’s okay, I sure did have an enjoyable time working with it! There will be many more cards to come with this stamp set, there are so many different stamp choices that the design potential seems endless!!

SKP Watermarked Photos3-088The colors are so yummy, I just want to eat them up!! I knew I wanted to use a banner with a sentiment and I found JUST the right one in the I Love You More stamp set by MFT Stamps. I love that the rays around the sun are mimicked in the patterns of the sunburst stamps…it’s like they were meant to be used together! The Pierced Fishtail Flags by MFT Stamps make quick work of adding the main banner as well as a delightful accent banner. Isn’t the piercing adorable??

SKP Watermarked Photos3-089It’s hard to see the paper piercing on the vellum but it’s there and adds a delightful texture. A simple bow with linen thread adds just another bit of texture.

This is one of TWO posts today…and I have exciting news to share so please stay tuned for post #2!

Also, I hope you have a minute to see the projects from the other design team members and that you might leave them a little love!

Wishing you joy and blessings!

Shannon, that stamp set is awesome and I love how you showcased the colors to create such a beautiful patterned paper. You are such an enabler, too…I want that stamp set now. 🙂 I also really like how you stamped the sentiment on vellum, so as not to cover up that pretty pattern. Beautiful! Have a great day!

Beautiful card! I love the choices of colors, and positions you made for the stamps (which of the three colors to ink which stamps, and where in the card to stamp). I also like the way you used the Pierced Fishtail Flag, and the linen thread as an accent – great harmony!

I thought your background was patterned paper at first as everything is so perfectly placed and stamped! Gorgeous card and fabulous layout.

I couldn’t WAIT to comment on this card, it just makes me so happy! The background stamping is phenomenal, but those banners…..the sentiment is so crisp and clear on the vellum, and that teeny weeny fishtail banner had me running to MFT with credit card in hand! SO pretty! Thanks for rocking my challenge!

LeAnne! I was so excited to post my card after the bit of whining I did about not having an idea! You came up with a GREAT color combination…thank you!!

I agree with Karren….I thought, where did Shannon find such fabulous paper that matched our colors perfectly?! WOW, gorgeous stamping and perfectly laid out. Love the pierced banners and just the touch of pistachio on the banner is perfect. Fabulous card, Shannon!

What an awesome stamp set and I love what you’ve done with it, Shannon! Your stamping is so perfect it looks like patterned paper (but better, lol!) Gorgeous, gorgeous use of these colors. Love it.

OMG Shannon – I thought your card featured a piece of DSP; I can’t quite believe you stamped it all, it looks so perfect and truly fabulous! The vellum banner is perfect, allowing the beautiful patterns to shine through (and I too love the addition of the pierced accent banner – gorgeous!!
