Greetings Friends! I hope you enjoyed the Pals Blog Hop yesterday…there were so many lovely inspirations! I’m back today with a lovely sketch challenge from the Pals Paper Arts design team:
Isn’t it fun! There’s lots of open space to take advantage of! And did I ever! I inked up the new Painted Petals stamp set and created my own garden!
I had a bit of fun with this, adding green stems every which way until I had the card front covered. I alternated between Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz for the flower stems to add some depth, although I honestly can not see the difference!
Then I just inked up some of the blooms in Crushed Curry, Rich Razzleberry and Pool Party. I didn’t worry about each flower having it’s own stem and focused more on the overall effect. Did you see the butterflies I added? Every garden needs butterflies, right?!?
I added a bit of the Sale-A-Bration ribbon in Crushed Curry and topped it off with the Gold Baker’s Twine. The sentiment is also from the Painted Blooms stamp set and was perfect for the sketch! I backed it up with some Rich Razzleberry card stock and then covered the card front in Rich Razzleberry as well. I rounded the corners off to show off a bit of the beautiful Rich Razzleberry. It’s the perfect backdrop for my ‘painting’!
Did I stop there? Nope, not today! I continued the theme right on into the inside of the card as well:
And I used a bit of the new Painted Blooms DSP to line my envelope. I think the beautiful blue sets the card off so nicely!
Please hop on over to the Pals Paper Arts Challenge Blog to see the wonderful inspiration from the rest of the design team!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Wishing you joy and blessings always,

Awww, so sweet of you Dawn!! I’m so glad you like it!!
I’m with Dawn on this one, Shannon–your stamping is so phenomenal as to be professionally printed work! This card is a masterpiece!
Thank you Terri! You are such a sweetheart and have such a way with words 🙂
Shannon, your card is gorgeous! I love that ribbon. I hadn’t considered getting it, but it’s so pretty, especially with the Baker’s Twine over it! Sparkles! Thanks for playing at PPA~
Thanks Patti! The ribbon is fun, you might like it!
Shannon, your card is gorgeous. Just perfect.
Thank you sooo much, Rae!! Your comments mean so much to me!!
Your card is amazing, the flowers are beautiful and the addition of the little butterflies are super cute.
Thank you so much, Kim!! I appreciate your taking the time to leave me a comment!! BTW, the butterflies were an addition born of necessity…I had a few not so perfect spots that looked MUCH better with a butterfly on top!!
Wow… awesome stamping..this is beautiful!
Thank you so much, Laurie!!
This is gorgeous, Shannon! I initially thought that you large panel was a piece of patterned paper until a realized you stamped it so expertly!
Thank you Sandy!! The patterned paper was too large (IMO) for a card so I decided to try and re-create it. I did snip a few of the stamps apart to do it, but it was worth it!!
Oh, it’s just so adorable!!! Love these flowers and deep colour!
Beautiful card! I love how you created that stunning panel – such a work of art! The butterflies are a great touch too!
Gorgeous! Absolutely love the card you created from the sketch! The butterfly, the ribbon & twine, the stamp…all are superb!
So beautiful and the butterfly was the perfect touch. I ordered this set because of your beautiful card!
Jody, how sweet of you to let me know!! I’m thrilled that my card inspired you and I hope you have lots of fun with this stamp set!!
