Scripted Thank You – Freshly Made Sketches #181

SKP Watermarked Photos3-055

Hello there, my stamping friends! Today I have a quick card to share with you as my crafty time was limited last night. I had limited time but I REALLY wanted to play along with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge this week…

FMS Final 181-001

What do you think about the tilt-y layer? Do you like those or not?? Apparently there are many folks who would rather not work with a tilt-y angle, I personally do not mind it, it can add an interesting detail to a card.

This pattern paper is from the same pad I used in my last card and it has been calling to me. I just LOVE the vivid yellow combined with the delicate pattern! I paired white and black with it for my neutrals and decided to pull out the green in the pattern with a pop of green across my card front.

Isn’t the pretty edge detail lovely? It’s from a border die set I recently acquired from a small company called Pretty Pink Posh. If you’ve not heard of this company before, you might want to pop over and browse a bit. It’s a one-woman shop and she has lots of pretties to purchase and also has a blog, her creations are darling.

I added a button to my card even though it’s not in the sketch (I hope they don’t kick me out) because I knew I wanted the second part of the sentiment to go across the green strip, but I didn’t have anything long enough to cover the entire card front so I improvised! I adore this Thank You sentiment set from Clearly Besotted Stamps.

No stamping for me tonight…I’m off to my son’s Spring Concert tonight. He is a first-year high school band director and I’m so proud to see him conduct his band that I could just pop!!

Take care and please let me know what you think of my color combination today…it’s a bit bold for me!! Stepping out of that box again!

Love the bright colors! Love tilty cards too. I’ve made a few recently also. I browsed through the Echo Park site because I like their papers you’ve used recently, but I couldn’t find prices or how to order. Must you go through their dealers? Great card today!

LOL! Buttons don’t get you kicked out! I love everything about this, but especially the little vellum banner over the horizontal layer. That’s a great look – I’ll have to remember that for later! Now I’m off to Clearly Besotted to check out that sentiment!! Thanks for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches!
