Simple Stems – Paper Players 246

Good Morning to you and welcome to another edition of The Paper Player’s weekly challenge! I have two posts today so please scroll down to see both!

I loved seeing all of your girlie creations, so fabulous!! This week we have a sketch challenge brought to by the talented Anne Marie:

pp246There’s lots of room for interpretation with this sketch but I decided to stick with the square:

SKP Watermarked Photos4-017I was inspired by the background paper which, when put together, reminded me of old tyme wallpaper so I pulled out a flower to compliment, Simple Stems by Stampin’ Up! It’s retired but still beautiful!

SKP Watermarked Photos4-018I love the softness that the ribbon and the font on the sentiment add, they all add to the elegant feeling of the card. To add a bit of depth, I stamped the flower three times and then snipped two of them down and layered them on top of each other. So pretty!

SKP Watermarked Photos4-019I hope you are inspired to use the sketch yourself and play along with us this week! Before you start getting crafty, won’t you visit the rest of the design team and see their projects as well?

Shannon this card made me swoon! I kept my Simple Stems stamp set as I’ve always loved the flowers; I’ve never stamped them in this colour combo though with the patterned paper behind and I love it. You’ve made me see a whole other way of using this set, so thank you! Such a gorgeous card.

Shannon, this is lovey! I really like the elegant color combo and the mix of patterns with that big, bold flower. Pure gorgeousness! Thank for rocking my sketch this week! Hugs! 🙂

This is a beauty, Shannon! Such a classically elegant color combination and it pairs beautifully with the patterned papers. Love the big bold flower–gorgeous!
