I sat down to create tonight and chose to join in some challenges: CAS(E) this Sketch! with their awesome sketch, a format that I L-O-V-E; and the “Less is More” Challenge to “Jingle All the Way”!

With those decisions out of the way, I picked out the Rustic Wreath stamp set from Papertrey Ink and just set my imagination free!

I love all things Christmas-y but decided to step out of my box a bit for this one. This stamp set doesn’t actually have a leaf stamp to fill in the leaf outlines, so I pulled out a set I recently used from Clearly Besotted as IT had a leaf petal! I stamped the single leaf petal over and over in Lost Lagoon and Pear Pizzazz. I love that the stamping is outside of the lines. I think it’s charming. I added in some dots stamped in Real Red and die cut my wreath out. So, so cool!

Once I was done I decided it needed a little something so I pulled out some linen thread and separated it into a one ply thread which I then wound through the wreath. I popped the whole thing up on VERY small pieces of Stampin’ Dimensionals and added my bow.

I’m so pleased with how it turned out!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Sweet Friend

I took a break this evening to play along with the 100th sketch challenge over at CAS(E) this Sketch. 100 challenges, that’s A LOT!! I puzzled for a bit over the sketch:

But then I realized that I happen to own a stamp set that would be PERFECT!!!

Was I right or what?!?

It’s like the designer had this stamp set, Pretty Petals by Clearly Besotted Stamps, in mind when they created the sketch!

Aren’t the flowers A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E?? It’s a very easy builder set, you can stamp the leaves, and then the flowers, SO EASY!!

Choosing my colors was also easy, once I had selected my background paper. This Lawn Fawn 6 x 6 paper pack actually has a fall theme so my choices were somewhat limited, but this paper that I chose to line the envelope is super sweet and gave me lots of colors to work with.

Isn’t this sentiment, and the font, perfect? I can’t wait to use it again!!

I put a layer of Wink of Stella on the leaves and it is soooo pretty in person. I need to figure out how to get the sparkle to come through in my photographs!!

I am so glad to be able to participate in CAS(E) this Sketch’s 100th challenge and I hope to play along lots more in the future!!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Update: the card shoppe is coming along very well, though it’s a bit more time intensive than I had counted on, but if everything goes as planned, I will announce the date it will go live very soon! I’m excited and working hard!! (Though it’s so fun I’m not sure it qualifies as “work”!!)
