Bitty Bouquets – Warm Welcome Fusion Card Challenge

Welcome to another Fusion Card Challenge! This challenge is a fun one and leaves a ton of room for interpretation…

FusionSketch-11_12_15I was pretty liberal with my interpretation this week:

Bitty Bouquets - Warm Welcome Fusion Card ChallengeThe sketch made me immediately think of this die set by MFT Stamps. Then I saw these beautiful papers and I was off to the races…

Bitty Bouquets - Warm Welcome Fusion Card ChallengeI have been a bit intimidated by the Bitty Bouquets stamp and die set by PTI…I shouldn’t have been, they came together in a snap! And the different sets of bouquets are so beautiful, this set is sure to become a go-to set! A simple sentiment by Wplus9 rounds the card off so prettily. I stamped the sentiment first in Soft Suede ink but it didn’t stand out well enough against the pattern paper so I switched it up to Early Expresso. Thank goodness for the MISTI, which made it so simple to re-stamp in the darker ink, no harm, no foul!

Bitty Bouquets - Warm Welcome Fusion Card ChallengeI used another of the patterns to add a bit of interest to the inside of the card, along with another pretty bouquet, stamped off once.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I love to hear your thoughts!

Giving Thanks – Freshly Made Sketches 208

In preparing this post I discovered that I haven’t played along with the Freshly Made Sketches‘ challenge since the 200th sketch…8 weeks ago! Yikes!

I was so inspired by the wonderful designs from the design team that I just had to sit down and create a card with Cindy Hall’s sketch:

Giving Thanks – Freshly Made Sketches 208I’m really loving the colors in this one and I had so much fun coloring the pumpkins! Did I mention yet that I purchased a ScanNCut2? If I haven’t and you haven’t heard of it, please use the link to check it out–this machine is A.W.E.S.O.M.E.

With the machine I was able to cut out both the basket full of pumpkins AND the itty bitty pumpkins after I had them colored. Just slipped the paper right into the machine and BAM, now I have die cuts…AND I can choose the depth of the border around them! SO cool!!

Lawn Fawn’s 6×6 paper pack Into the Woods have really framed the pumpkins nicely and really help them pop. Of course, Stampin’ Dimensionals give them a bit of pop too 🙂

Giving Thanks – Freshly Made Sketches 208ShinHan Touch Twin Brush Markers helped me color my stamped image in. If you haven’t heard of them, they are the product giving Copic a run for it’s money. They have a wonderful brush tip to work with, and have a lower price point…yippee!!

Isn’t the script font of the sentiment amazing? The stamp set is called Scripted by Papertrey Ink and the sentiment carries on to the inside of the card:

Giving Thanks – Freshly Made Sketches 208I was inspired by Kim Singdahlsen‘s card to use the cross stitch borders that I forgot I had. Thanks Kim, I love them!

Clean, simple and a POP of color…I’m so in tickled with how this turned out! I would love to hear what you think as well, your feedback only makes me a better artist!!

Giving Thanks – Freshly Made Sketches 208Wishing you joy and blessings!

Feeling Like Fall – Sunday Stamps 110

Feeling Like Fall - Sunday Stamps 110We’ve had a few cooler days lately, and that combined with Friday night football games, has me feeling like Fall! So I broke out a new to me pad of paper that I have been saving for the occasion and started creating!

My jumping off point was this delightful sketch from Sunday Stamps:

Feeling Like Fall - Sunday Stamps 110I enjoyed mixing colors on this card and perhaps took a few liberties with Fall leaf colors!

Feeling Like Fall - Sunday Stamps 110I hope you will pop over and gather inspiration from the rest of the Sunday Stamps design team! We would love to see you play along with us!

A side note: My posts have been fewer lately as I have been busy painting another room in my house and then moving my creative space into the new room. It has a bit less square footage but oodles more sunlight! It will take me a bit to get everything reorganized but I look forward to sharing my new space with you!

Wishing you joy and blessings!

I Love Pattern Paper – The Paper Players 259 & Stamp, Ink, Paper 11

…and I cannot lie…lol, yes I do!!! And the sketch from The Paper Players has given me an excuse to play with some!

I Love Pattern Paper - The Paper Players 259 Well, how did I do?? I had a ton of fun with this one and sure do like how it turned out. I’m loving all the black with just a pop of color. I used Altenew’s Painted Butterflies stamp set and used Papertrey’s Blueberry Sky and Enchanted Evening for the pops of blue.

I Love Pattern Paper - The Paper Players 259 What do you think? Should I have lined my banner in black? I couldn’t decide so I left it alone, but in looking at it now, perhaps I should have…

I Love Pattern Paper - The Paper Players 259 I tried very hard to capture the sparkle on the butterfly’s wings. It’s so pretty!

Thank you very much to The Paper Players design team for always providing tons of inspiration!

pp259And I’m also playing along with the Stamp, Paper, Ink challenge this week…tic-tac-toe challenges are so much fun!! I chose butterflies, buttons and monochromatic (although I took some liberty with monochromatic with the pop of blue)
