Season of Joy – 30 Day Card Challenge, Day 9

Stampin Up Christmas Pine Christmas Card Ideas - Shannon Jaramillo Stampinup

I found a fun little sketch that I thought would showcase these patterns perfectly so I continued with the Christmas theme for today’s post. These papers are all from the Presents & Pinecones Designer Series Paper Pack. Did you know that if you purchase three packs of Designer Series Paper in the same order this month, you’ll get one FREE DSP pack of your choice? How awesome is that?

The Details:

  • I layered white on white to add a bit of depth to my project. The top white layer is cut to 4″ x 5 1/4″.
  • For the layers of pattern paper, I cut the bottom strip to 3/4″ x 3 3/4″. The rest of the layers are 3/8″ x 3 1/2″; 3/8″ x 3 1/4″; 3/8″ x 3″ and 3/8 x 2 3/4″
  • Did you see the darling pattern paper with bows on it at the top? I trimmed the height of it down just a bit so I could have just one row of bows. Darling!

  • The sentiment used is from the Christmas Pines Photopolymer Stamp set. I chose it specifically because it’s about 3/8″ high and about 2 1/2″ wide…perfect for continuing the concept of the graduated layers!
  • After stamping the greeting, I decided I wanted to continue the graduated layers. I found a sweet image of Holly in the Christmas Pines stamp set so I stamped one spring at the top of the design and one at the opposite side at the bottom, they are such a sweet detail!

  • There are several choices of pine tree stamps that coordinate with the Perfect Pine Framelits Dies, I chose this stamp from the Foxy Friends photopolymer Stamp Set. It really pops as stamped here in Emerald Envy. It is such a fresh color! Red Metallic Thread has been wrapped around the back of the Pine Tree as a fun detail
  • The pretty pine tree truly sparkles with Rhinestone Basic Jewels. I added a few more scattered through the design to continue the graduated design.
  • Notice the complimentary piece of Designer Series Paper lining the envelope?  It really pulls all of the colors together!

I hope you have enjoyed this fresh color palette…again, Stampin’ Up! really makes design EASY!!
