To Love What We Do and Share What We Love

“To LOVE what we do and SHARE what we love, as we help others enjoy CREATIVITY and worthwhile accomplishments…in this we make a DIFFERENCE.” This is Stampin’ Up!’s Statement of the Heart and reflects who we are as demonstrators and why we do what we do.

I adore this basket of flowers, which is FREE with any $50 purchase, and I thought it would fit perfectly with the newest Freshly Made Sketches challenge. But then I saw the statement of the heart stamp, which I recently acquired secondhand for $1, and wanted to use it as well. Since I couldn’t decide which one to use, I used them both!

While I was creating this card I received a message from someone who had reached out to me recently. Her message to me this evening was to share with me how much she appreciated my time and patience with her. It didn’t seem like much at the time, but I tonight I realized how fitting this statement of the heart is. I shared my time and love of stamping, perhaps helped her a bit in the process, and it made a difference to her. It really made this statement hit home and resonate with me. I made a difference. I’m so glad I had the opportunity!

I stamped this darling basket from the Blooming Basket stamp set with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, then colored with Stampin’ Blends in Crumb Cake, Light and Dark Calypso Coral and light and dark Old Olive. I added a bit of Fresh Fig marker to the berries and finished the basket off with a simple bow. Of course I added Wink of Stella to the flowers…it’s a huge ‘wow’ in person!

The statement of the heart was stamped with Staz-On ink and adhered using Ranger Multi Medium matte liquid glue which dried clear underneath the vellum except for where I adhered it over areas colored with alcohol markers. You still really can’t see the glue so I’ll take it since adhering vellum can be quite the challenge!

Here is the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches that inspired today’s project:

Thank you again for sharing a bit of your day with me, I hope you like the card…

Blessings,

Letters for You Birthday Style

I was browsing the internet and came across a stamp image from another company that had the letters ‘hb2u” and I thought “I can do that with product I already have!” and thus a card was born…don’t you love when you can make something fun with something you ALREADY own?!?

The products in Stampin’ Up!’s new catalog are now available for purchase! I have a rather largish order arriving on Monday…can’t wait!

Today’s card features some products from the amazing Birthday Delivery Photopolymer Bundle. Besides stamps and dies (as if that wasn’t awesome enough), this bundle comes with pretty paper!

It is an amazing set of papers in an amazing suite of products that I know you will get tons of use from. The colors in this particular pattern are (from left to right) Pumpkin Pie, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Lemon Lime Twist, Pacific Point, Blushing Bride and Real Red. Which gives use LOTS of options!! I chose to highlight Pacific Point, Pumpkin Pie, Lemon Lime Twist and Rich Razzleberry, stamping each ink onto it’s matching card stock and die cutting with the coordinating Large Letter Framelits Dies.

Everything has been framed in Rich Razzleberry and Pacific Point and mounted with Stampin’ Dimensionals onto a layer of Crumb Cake card stock. The Crumb Cake card stock has been embossed with one of my favorite, but sadly now retired, embossing folders so I thought I would give it one last run through the Big Shot while I wait for the the NEW Polka Dot Basics Embossing Folder to arrive 🙂

The adorable birthday hat was die cut from one of the patterns in the Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper with its’ coordinating die in the Birthday Friends Framelits Dies. So quick and easy!!

Inside is a sweet sentiment, appropriate for any age!

Berry Burst Bright Wishes – A Sneak Peek!

Berry Burst Bright Wishes Card Ideas - Shannon Jaramillo Stampin Up

Today’s post is chalk FULL of new product!! My preorder came today and I hardly wait to get started! So let’s just JUMP IN!!

Details:

  • Berry Burst card base cut to 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
  • Basic Black card stock cut to 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″
  • Whisper White card stock card stock cut to 3 3/4″ x 5″

Features:

  • Berry Burst, one of the new 2017-2019 In-Colors, is the star today. The card base, the ribbon, the enamel dots and the envelope liner all feature this FAB new color.
  • The dreamy wishing well is the featured stamp in a new stamp set called Bright Wishes. The set has five lovely sentiments centered around “well” wishes 🙂

  • These new Glitter Enamel Dots are destined to FLY off the shelves at Stampin’ Up! They are such a great accent!! There are four shades featured in the packaged set: Dapper Denim; Crushed Curry; Berry Burst and Old Olive. Honestly though, each shade has so many gradations that they will work wonderfully with any other hue in their color family! There are five gradations within each shade, which I have featured above. The darkest is at the bottom right hand side, and then they work their way up from there. There are also four different sizes! The largest is at the bottom, then the next smaller size, and then the next two are the same size and the smallest dot is a the uppermost corner. So…four different colors, five different shades within each color, four different sizes, and GLITTER!! You will want to get your hands on these babies!!!
  • I chose not to color the wishing well. Instead I stamped it in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, ran my embossing buddy over the image, inked it up again in Versamark Ink and then heat embossed the image with clear embossing powder. This results in a crisp, dark image without those pesky stray embossing powder flecks all over!

  • Ahhh, the ribbon. I zoomed in close so you could see the texture of the ribbon. It’s a “firm” ribbon. Or maybe it’s a “substantial” ribbon. I’m not sure what the best adjective is, but it is not as pliable as the seam binding ribbons were, it’s woven more thickly and it’s not “soft”. It has a texture to it. I liked working with it and as you can see, it ties easily. And it comes in each of the five new In-Colors: Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink and Tranquil Tide. Yum!!
  • The envelope Liner. This year Stampin’ Up! has changed things up a bit. In the past we have always had Designer Series Paper Stacks in each of the four color collections as well as the In-Color collections. In this new catalog, we only have a Designer Series Paper Stack for the 2017-2019 In-Colors! There are four new patterns, all pulled from the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper in the current catalog. This will be wonderful for making multiples!!

  • The inside of the card features one of the coordinating sentiments from the Bright Wishes stamp set. I love how it plays off of the wishing well image! This card is destined for a co-worker who is moving on to a new department. Perfect sentiment for that!!

Are you still with me? I know that was a long post! I’m so enthused with the new catalog and am looking forward to sharing more with you! AND…(drum roll please) NEW CATALOGS HAVE ARRIVED!!! Bright & Bold Thank You

Bright & Bold Thank You Thank You Card Ideas -Shannon Jaramillo Stampin Up

We’ve a little bit of overcast going on today so I chose to combat it with some delightfully spring-y colors that I found in a retired pattern paper from Stampin’ Up! – Painted Blooms. We need more Rose Red!

The Details:

  • Thick Whisper White Base cut to 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
  • Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper cut to 4″ x 5 1/4
  • Rose Red card stock cut to 3 5/8″ x 4 7/8″
  • Thick Whisper White card stock cut to 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″

  • Stampin’ Up!’s Avant-Garden is the stamp featured today. It seemed to go well with the lines of the pattern paper. I masked the stamp in order to stamp three close together. The stems and leaves are stamped in Wild Wasabi (which is a less frequently used color for me but I LOVE it here!)
  • The Rose Red card stock and bow really make everything P-O-P! The ribbon is retired-love it when I can bash my stash!
  • I went a little crazy with the three dots – they are a stamp from Stamps by Judith and add the perfect finishing details 🙂

  • I again added Rose Red card stock on the side of the card as well the bloom from Avant-Garden, stamped off three times for just a soft image, perfect for stamping the sentiment over!
  • I just realized I forgot to take a picture of the front of the envelope, I stamped more blooms there as well and they are really pretty!

Thank you for stopping by today!!

Whimsical Birthday Wishes – The Paper Players 332

Whimsical Birthday Wishes Birthday Card Idea - Shannon Jaramillo Stampin Up

Every once in awhile a product comes along that just makes you melt. This pattern paper is it for me. It’s called Cupcakes and Carousels by Stampin’ Up! and is new in the Occasions Catalog. It comes in the perfectly porportioned 6″ x 6″ size and has the most delightful patterns in it!

The Details:

  • This playful sentiment from the Better Together Stamp Set pairs perfectly with the playful pattern paper. It’s stamped in Bermuda Bay and die cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies (first time using them, can’t live without them), and then layered onto a lovely scalloped oval die cut from the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies. I wasn’t sure they would pair together since they are from different die sets, but of course they do, because Stampin’ Up! takes care of us like that 🙂

  • The darling party hat was stamped in Early Expresso ink, fussy cut out, and colored in with my So Saffron Stampin’ Marker. I thought about coloring the polka dots in Bermuda Bay but chickened out because I wasn’t sure I would like it and added Wink of Stella instead. Perfect choice! Love it!

  • I used Early Expresso Baker’s Twine (which is retired BTW) to make a cheerful double bow and added So Saffron Enamel Dots as the final accent. I LOVE that they are available in all the colors!
  • Each layer that you see backed by Early Expresso card stock is popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I love layers and the depth they provide. Hint: I snip my Stampin’ Dimensionals in half so they go twice as far…I may or may not be a Dimensionals hoarder 🙂

  • And the inside! This sentiment is from the Balloon Adventures Stamp Set, also from the 2017 Occasions Catalog and is a favorite of mine. It’s so fun here stamped in Bermuda Bay onto Very Vanilla yardstick and backed by Early Expresso card stock. Love, love, love this color combination. My mom insists blue and brown do not go together, so funny enough, they are one of my favorite combinations! lol

Today’s card was inspired completely by my desire to use the Cupcakes & Carousels DSP Stack and this week’s challenge over at The Paper Players:
