Bitty Bouquets – Warm Welcome Fusion Card Challenge

Welcome to another Fusion Card Challenge! This challenge is a fun one and leaves a ton of room for interpretation…

FusionSketch-11_12_15I was pretty liberal with my interpretation this week:

Bitty Bouquets - Warm Welcome Fusion Card ChallengeThe sketch made me immediately think of this die set by MFT Stamps. Then I saw these beautiful papers and I was off to the races…

Bitty Bouquets - Warm Welcome Fusion Card ChallengeI have been a bit intimidated by the Bitty Bouquets stamp and die set by PTI…I shouldn’t have been, they came together in a snap! And the different sets of bouquets are so beautiful, this set is sure to become a go-to set! A simple sentiment by Wplus9 rounds the card off so prettily. I stamped the sentiment first in Soft Suede ink but it didn’t stand out well enough against the pattern paper so I switched it up to Early Expresso. Thank goodness for the MISTI, which made it so simple to re-stamp in the darker ink, no harm, no foul!

Bitty Bouquets - Warm Welcome Fusion Card ChallengeI used another of the patterns to add a bit of interest to the inside of the card, along with another pretty bouquet, stamped off once.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I love to hear your thoughts!

Dragonfly Hello – CAS(E) this Sketch #107

I came across this sketch on the CAS(E) this Sketch blog and was immediately intrigued:

CTS_107

I then went and laid down on the couch for an afternoon snooze and woke up with the following card idea ready to go! I love it when that happens!

SKP Watermarked Photos2-028None of my chores for the afternoon happened, but I got the card idea onto paper, that’s the important thing, right?!? lol

I see a lot of butterfly stamps and dies, but the dragonfly is much rarer to see in the stamping world, I wonder why that is? I’ve had this die from Clearly Besotted Stamps for quite a while but could never figure out how to use it. This sketch showcases it beautifully!

SKP Watermarked Photos2-029I’ve really been wanting to use this polka dot paper, I think it’s super cute and I found that Hibiscus Burst really pops with it! I applied Wink of Stella liberally to the dragonfly and then popped him up on really tiny pieces of Stampin’ Dimensionals. Can you see the shimmer?

SKP Watermarked Photos2-031A few moonshine sequins from Simon Says Stamp adds interest and sparkle and I managed to find the perfect pink paper for the envelope! Woot! I was starting to worry that my clean and simple days were over, I’m relieved to find that they aren’t!

We have rain in So Cal scheduled for today…yay!! Not a huge storm but we will take everything we can get. My thoughts are for those on the East Coast as this next storm blows through…please stay safe and warm!!

Wishing you joy and blessings!
