Bella Rose Delight – Freshly Made Sketches 418

Stampin-Up-Bella-Rose-Love-and-Friendship-Card-Idea-Shannon-Jaramillo-stampinup-SU

Today I am sharing a card made with much love for a challenge but I ran out of time to get it photographed and posted before I went out of town on a trip. Have YOU ever thought you could accomplish much more than you actually could?!? Please tell me I’m not alone!

Measurements:

  • White Card Base 4 1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5 1/2″

Details:

  • I’ve combined a bit of old and new with this card. This DSP by Stampin’ Up! – oh my goodness – I can’t even tell you how pretty I think it is! It’s a bit funny to me now because when I first started with Stampin’ Up!, I did NOT care for the color Red Riding Hood at all. But when paired with Pink Pirouette and Kiwi Kiss, it is just YUMMY!!
  • I adore the sketch this week and ventured outside of my SU supplies to use this wonderful curved edge die by MFT Stamps.

  • I stamped the sentiment in Riding Hood Red, and then used the coordinating die to cut out a mat around it. I then cut out another mat in Kiwi Kiss, cut it in half horizontally and added it as a second mat.
  • I fussed for a bit before settling on adding these delightful butterflies, die cut from the long retired Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die. I do so love combining old and new!
  • The gems I added are from Honeybee Stamps – I have discovered that they have a fun assortment of colored rhinestones!!

  • For the inside I layered a scalloped die cut on top of a mat of Riding Hood Red, with a pretty scrap of the Bella Rose DSP and a very simple sentiment.

I had so much fun making this card!! I know it is very late for the challenge it was created for, but here is the sketch I used and thank you to the FMS design team for always providing such wonderful inspiration!

Blessing to You!!

You've Got This Thinking of You Card Ideas - Shannon Jaramillo Stampin Up

Today’s card is for a special young lady who just received a breast cancer diagnosis. I wanted to send a note to offer support and encouragement for the journey ahead of her.

Details:

  • Thick Whisper White card base cut to 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5 1/2″
  • Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack in Powder Pink, cut to 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″
  • Whisper White layer, cut to 3 3/4″ x 5″
  • I used the stamp set “You’ve Got This”. It seemed fitting. Just two images stamped on the front, one in Powder Pink and the other in Memento Tuxedo Black.

  • I added a sentiment from the same set to the inside.
  • I love the enamel dots, they are perfect for mailing, so I borrowed some Blushing Bride enamel dots for a bit more interest. I think they match well!!

Quick post tonight, lots to do but wanted to get this in the mail!!

You’ve Got This – Sunday Stamps 119

Hello there! Today is Sunday and that means another challenge from the Sunday Stamps bi-weekly challenge! This week we have a color combination for you:

You've Got This - Sunday Stamps 119

My first impression of the inspiration photo was Christmas and I thought to myself “That’s got to be a mistake!” I was so caught up with the items in the photo that it took me a few moments to actually see the color banners! My interpretation of the colors was Cherry Cobbler, Early Expresso, Crumb Cake and Basic Gray. I pored through my stamp collection and found just the right thing!

I was thrilled to ink up this never-been-used-before stamp set called You’ve Got This by Stampin’ Up! I’m quite pleased with this color combination though it’s a bit outside of my box. This color combination can be used for both men and women and with the sentiment, I think it covers many occasions.

I went to grab Crumb Cake card stock and I always check my scrap bag first and found an already die-cut piece ready to go! Cool!

Details:

  • I stamped off once before stamping the background texture stamp in Crumb Cake ink. The flower is stamped in Early Expresso and the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler.
  • I looked through my wash tape collection and found this cute red polka dot wash tape – perfect!
  • A simple hand trimmed banner fulfills the grey aspect of the challenge 🙂
  • One button topped off with a twine bow adds to the rustic feel of the color combination and adds a bit of pizzazz to the design
  • Two Cherry Cobbler candy dots are the perfect accent to balance the layout.
  • Adding to the inside and lining your envelopes is a simple way to add extra love to the project!

I’m on a mission to use every stamp in my stash as well as use some of that bling I love to buy but struggle to use! So be prepared to see more ‘stuff’ on my cards! Which do you prefer: clean and simple; a bit of bling; or do you like to add LOTS of bling? I would love to hear from you!

I hope that my project has inspired you to join us in this challenge, for more inspiration please visit these lovely ladies:
