Fall Leaves – Sunday Stamps 112

Happy Sunday and welcome to another challenge from the Sunday Stamps design team!

SS112-10_17_15I love challenges like this where I have an opportunity to really showcase a product. For this challenge, I chose to feature the Lighthearted Leaves Stamp and Die bundle from Stampin’ Up!:

Fall Leaves - Sunday Stamps 112This leaf image is a show stopper so I kept the rest of the card design very clean with just a hint of Mossy Meadow cardstock peeking out to highlight the stamp. The coordinating dies make die cutting the leaves a breeze!

Fall Leaves - Sunday Stamps 112ShinHan Twin Touch Brush Markers add color to the stamps, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink is the perfect ink to use with alcohol markers-no smearing! Then just the small detail of a bit of Mossy Meadow Thick Twine (retired) for texture.

My card happens to work perfectly with The Paper Players challenge this week so I’ve entered it there as well! Sometimes things just work out perfectly!!

pp267I hope you have a moment to enjoy the creations by the rest of the Sunday Stamps design team. I’ve had a peek and they are super fun!

I love hearing from you! You can reach me here with any questions or comments.

Wishing you joy and blessings!

Giving Thanks – Freshly Made Sketches 208

In preparing this post I discovered that I haven’t played along with the Freshly Made Sketches‘ challenge since the 200th sketch…8 weeks ago! Yikes!

I was so inspired by the wonderful designs from the design team that I just had to sit down and create a card with Cindy Hall’s sketch:

Giving Thanks – Freshly Made Sketches 208I’m really loving the colors in this one and I had so much fun coloring the pumpkins! Did I mention yet that I purchased a ScanNCut2? If I haven’t and you haven’t heard of it, please use the link to check it out–this machine is A.W.E.S.O.M.E.

With the machine I was able to cut out both the basket full of pumpkins AND the itty bitty pumpkins after I had them colored. Just slipped the paper right into the machine and BAM, now I have die cuts…AND I can choose the depth of the border around them! SO cool!!

Lawn Fawn’s 6×6 paper pack Into the Woods have really framed the pumpkins nicely and really help them pop. Of course, Stampin’ Dimensionals give them a bit of pop too 🙂

Giving Thanks – Freshly Made Sketches 208ShinHan Touch Twin Brush Markers helped me color my stamped image in. If you haven’t heard of them, they are the product giving Copic a run for it’s money. They have a wonderful brush tip to work with, and have a lower price point…yippee!!

Isn’t the script font of the sentiment amazing? The stamp set is called Scripted by Papertrey Ink and the sentiment carries on to the inside of the card:

Giving Thanks – Freshly Made Sketches 208I was inspired by Kim Singdahlsen‘s card to use the cross stitch borders that I forgot I had. Thanks Kim, I love them!

Clean, simple and a POP of color…I’m so in tickled with how this turned out! I would love to hear what you think as well, your feedback only makes me a better artist!!

Giving Thanks – Freshly Made Sketches 208Wishing you joy and blessings!

All Hallows Eve – Fusion Card Challenge

Hello and welcome to another challenge from the Fusion Card Challenge!  This week’s photo inspiration is perfectly timed…

All Hallows Eve FusionIsn’t it fun? I wish my mantel looked like that 😉 Remember, you can use the photo or sketch for your inspiration, or combine them and use both! I used the sketch and the theme of the photo, just not the same colors:

SKP Watermarked Photos5-044And I discovered something…I only have ONE stamp set that is specifically Halloween oriented…crazy, right? But it is an adorable stamp set called Happy Haunting by Papertrey Ink. The set has so many options for the facial expressions, I couldn’t pick just one! I generally don’t like a very spooky Halloween anymore, but I did throw in ONE grumpy ghost 🙂

SKP Watermarked Photos5-046The frame is from a die set called Center Style-Masculine (also by PTI). I chose it because I could layer it on top of some cute pattern paper and let it peek through. The sentiment was stamped in Versamark in and then heat embossed with white embossing powder. I framed the frame (!) with another pattern paper and then popped it all off of a base of Smoky Slate. I threw in some sparkly enamel dots for a bit more fun. And speaking of fun…

SKP Watermarked Photos5-045I did enjoy creating this spooky fun interior greeting!

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s post and I hope you have a chance to see what the rest of the Fusion Card Challenge design team has created for you!

Wishing you joy and blessings!

Fa La La – Global Design Project #6

Fa La La - Global Design Project #6I truly think Stampin’ Up! knocked it out of the park this year with their papers! So many pretty options! This pattern in from the “Merry Moments” Designer Series Paper Pack, the 12″ x 12″ pack (there is also a 6″ x 6″ paper pack but this pattern isn’t in it).  The clean and simple lines of the design sketch this week from the Global Design Project really lets the paper shine 🙂

GDP006I had a bit of fun with the small line of greeting in the sketch…mine is a bit larger 🙂

Fa La La - Global Design Project #6I just happened to have the ‘Fa La La’ sentiment on my desk, a leftover from a previous project and thought it worked here perfectly! The Santa is from the Antique Tags Host set in the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog. I double stamped him and popped the center up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Did you see the tiny silver thread running along the strip of Real Red cardstock? It’s Silver Cording Trim, also in the Holiday catalog. It adds just the right amount of sparkle to my clean and simple card.

Fa La La - Global Design Project #6It takes just a bit more time to decorate the inside of the card as well 🙂

Thank you so much for stopping by today, if you have a moment please pop over and see the inspiration from the Global Design Project team, they are a truly gifted group of designers!

Wishing you joy and blessings!

Peaceful Pines…Take 2

Peaceful Pines...Take 2 Hello! I’m back today with another card made with the Peaceful Pines stamp and die set. The stamp set and this plaid pattern just pair so beautifully I had to use them together again!!

Peaceful Pines...Take 2And the “falala” die cut just cracks me up…how can you not smile at it 🙂 The Home for Christmas Enamel Dots make the perfect trimming for my white, heat embossed Christmas tree. I’m on a roll with this set, I hope you love it too!
