Welcome Friends! This week’s challenge from the Can You Case It Design Team is fun and simple…a holiday card!!

I came across this stamp set the other day that I purchased (cough) last year and never inked up. I had forgotten about the cute die that came with it! Well, I meant to get this card done sooner because as soon as I saw the sketch over at CAS(E) This Sketch!, I knew exactly what card I wanted to make. But with one thing and the other, the sketch challenge is now closed. Well, the card was in my head and wouldn’t make way for other inspiration, so I had to go ahead and make it. Sometimes those design ideas can be pesky!

The overall feel of the card reminds me of a comfortable sweater, so warm and fuzzy.

Isn’t this die A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E?? The font is just amazing!! Because I used a patterned background, I die cut the sentiment four times and then just glued them together, one on top of the other. It really isn’t that hard, one you get one piece lined up properly, you can just push the rest of it together without difficulty. I use a very fine tip glue pen for this job.

I had a bit of fun with the outside of the envelope as well! I pulled a few bits and pieces from the Simon Says Stamp set Ornaments and just stamped a few fun images.

Well, that it’s for me today. I would love to hear what you think of my card! And Christmas…are you ready?? I am…ready to celebrate!!! That’s the important thing right? lol

Please pop over to the Can You Case It blog to see what the other designers have created for you and get those stamps and papers out and play along!

Wishing you joy and blessings…

Have a Bright & Cheery Christmas…sometimes a simple sentiment is perfect! This card was inspired by a fun new sketch over at Retro Sketches…their sketches always keep me on my toes!

I had lots of fun deciding which pattern papers to use. I love the contrast of the peppermint stripes with the black background and print. A little barrier of red helps keep the patterns from overwhelming each other.

Simple and fun! I love that the embellishment is also the sentiment, it’s a twofer! Candy Dots and a big floppy bow finish the card off with just the right amount of fun:)

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by!

I sat down to create tonight and chose to join in some challenges: CAS(E) this Sketch! with their awesome sketch, a format that I L-O-V-E; and the “Less is More” Challenge to “Jingle All the Way”!

With those decisions out of the way, I picked out the Rustic Wreath stamp set from Papertrey Ink and just set my imagination free!

I love all things Christmas-y but decided to step out of my box a bit for this one. This stamp set doesn’t actually have a leaf stamp to fill in the leaf outlines, so I pulled out a set I recently used from Clearly Besotted as IT had a leaf petal! I stamped the single leaf petal over and over in Lost Lagoon and Pear Pizzazz. I love that the stamping is outside of the lines. I think it’s charming. I added in some dots stamped in Real Red and die cut my wreath out. So, so cool!

Once I was done I decided it needed a little something so I pulled out some linen thread and separated it into a one ply thread which I then wound through the wreath. I popped the whole thing up on VERY small pieces of Stampin’ Dimensionals and added my bow.

I’m so pleased with how it turned out!

Thanks for stopping by!!

O Christmas Tree

I found a really fun sketch over at the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge and decided that I just HAD to play along…

Isn’t it fun?? Lots of room for interpretation. So I started thumbing through my paper and came across some delightful Christmas paper that has been gathering dust since last year and decided this card would be a Christmas card! (Very scientific method)

What do you think??

I had so much fun playing with the colors and patterns! In the end I managed to use six different pattern papers on the card and envelope! I love how they all coordinate so beautifully 🙂

The uber cute Christmas trees and sentiment are from Clearly Besotted Stamps…I am besotted with them!!

Aren’t the little banners peeking ca-yoot??

I loaned all of my inside holiday sentiments out, so this card will be updated before it goes out…we’re running short on time!

Thank you for stopping by!! I would be thrilled with a little love! Thank you!!
